Morning everyone I have a leak on one of my external seal. My question is what do I remove old sealant with and which sealant should be used to replace
Thank you

I resealed a few of our joints over the last year or so and used https://hodgsonsealants.com/product-range/mastics/seamseal-cv/
Be aware it's a slightly off white colour (creamish) but is easy to work with and remains pliable with a skin when fully cured.

You need to carefully clean out the existing sealant from the joint back to the bare panel and I then used isopropyl alcohol to clean the joints.
Mask up either side of the joint with 25mm masking tape leaving a gap of how wide you want the sealant to show.
Using a sealant gun and the sealant, obviously, squeeze the sealant as far into the exposed joint as you can.
With a wet finger smooth down the sealant into a concave quadrant shape.
Try not to spread in too thickly onto the masking tape.
Once you're happy with how the sealant looks peal off the masking tape and that will give a neat finish to the edge.
If there are one or two peaks of sealant on the edges gently flatten these to a smooth edge.
The surface will skin over in an hour or two however it does take a day or two to fully cure. It does remain spongy to a press when fully cured.

White spirit can be used to clean up and "mess".

Carafax Caraseal IDL 99 is another well respected alternative for the sealant.

I would not use an adhesive sealant as if you need to replace in the future it would be a bu**er to get off.
