Le Pavilion Royale Biarritz

We’ve been once for one night when coming back from Spain.
Eye wateringly expensive then.

Stayed on the aire for 4 days reasonably priced and walking distance into town

Even in late summer it was very busy, very popular with surfers who like to party; Also pretty expensive, but you do have access to the beach from the site

We stopped there 2 years ago ,very pricey and a very small pitch but the beach and sun sets where fantastic . We stopped at the aire just down the road last year a lot cheaper. Would we stop at the campsite again ,yes I think we would.

We stayed quite a bit with caravan and kids a few years back. Very very busy in summer and some quite small pitches. Be aware the pitches with great views. The weather can change very quickly on that part of the coast and over the years we have seen some very bad storms come in creating havoc and a great deal of damage to vans. Saying that excellent site very expensive though (y)

Very expensive and not worth it. Pitches are very small and a lot on inclines. You're paying for the location.

Stayed there 6 years ago and paid about £70 for one night. Very expensive but we were worn out with two tired and hungry teenagers in tow and couldn’t bear to go any further so we bit the bullet. Great position but very busy site with some very small pitches some of which are quite sloping. They did try and squeeze us in to one that was too small at first - it was basically just an apex of grass at the junction of two lanes. Great for surfers and apart from the position its great advantage was its private access to the beach (down lots of steps mind you) but wouldn’t stay there again unless as desperate as we were before. We did go and have a look at the aire in Bidart the next day but it was rammed and not appealing in any way. We carried on to the aire at Anglet between Bayonne and Biarritz - this offered great access to the beach which had showers and toilets, plus lots of bars and cafes. Also easy cycle ride into both Bayonne and Biarritz. Would definitely stay there again.

Thanks for replies emailed the site for a booking but may have a rethink and a new search was planning on staying three weeks in august but maybe too expensive

Also if you go make sure you’re not near any recycling points the lorry called daily in July and august extremely noisy
