Just pulled this off Google news.

Looks like my email address was stolen from Searchforsites

what is this site in the link, is it the site that is stealing all the email addresses?

Don't have a lot of confidence in this.
It says one of my email address is compromised and the other two aren't so I changed the addy to a few that I doubt AOL would permit, though I could be wrong.
All @aol.....all the full word.....
Cu*t
Tw*t
Sh*g
Fu*k

All came back as compromised.

I won't be bothering to take any action.

I just put in a made up email address and it came up as NOT pawned, so my feeling is that it’s genuine

says mine isnt and thats on sfs but always a bit wary of putting an email on things like this, how do you know how genuine they are or just fishing

Not real. I just posted an Old (now defunct) address, came back un breached. when I know it was compromised which is why I closed it down!

You do all know that it’s probably a scam site for collecting active email addresses.... if you’ve put yours in, expect loads of spam any time soon....:D2

Smiley noted, but it’s not a scam. Troy Hunt is a well respected security expert, and the site belongs to him.

Just put in an e-mail I haven't used for about 15 years & it came back pwned

I understand that the Russians have been following the following emails modgb.govuk/ fo-gb.gov.uk, and mfun.org.uk
wanting to find possible leaks to national security:eek::rolleyes:
