Lands End, Cornwall

Does anyone here find Lands End in Cornwall not worth the vist. I drove there last Friday, endless delays on the M5 driving at 15 m/h at times if not completely stopped. parking fee is £20 at Lands End, and the whole place is a rip off. they are charging £14 for a picture with the signe post ( attached).

Sorry your visit to the South West not good. If you had asked us first, I think, without fail, we would have told you not to bother with Lands End. Hopefully you will find other nicer places to visit.

I had to do it having done the North Lands end...John O Groats...it is done now.

Don't bother with Tintagel either. There's a lot of other places to see down here and things to do but traffic jams on the M5 on a Friday in August are to be expected. If you can't travel at a different time you just have to endure them.

We live in the SW but tend to stay indoors at this time of year.

You should of then gone on to the minack theatre afterwards and you would be rewarded with a most spectacular end to your journey

Yep, it's a tourist honey pot designed by those crafty Cornish to part tourists from their cash, not worth the effort in August. You can park at sennen cove on the cliffs and take the coast path to lands end. A much better experience.
