Does anyone have any recommendations for an inexpensive label printer? I'm coming to the end of my LiFePO4 upgrade and would like to make sure it's obvious what everything does by labelling the appropriate hardware and set-up.

I picked up a cheap (£15) brother printer from ebay that took printable heatshrink tape.
I already had a handheld aldi special brother compatible printer, but it wouldn't accept the heatshrink tapes

Look at Brother P-Touch. Various versions. I have the basic electricians one that allows labels to print horizontal vertical text, along with wraps. Cheaper versions don't do the wrap option.

I did have Dymo bit the lid screen failed, as did a colleagues.

Thanks all, I'll take a look at the Brother P-Touch offerings

I use one of these at home, different types of tape available.

I use this one. https://amzn.to/3FFXbCc

The Brother labels are really long lasting. I placed some labels on a glass hand sanitiser bottle by the Elsan point. Been out there in all weathers 24/7 since Covid and still don't need changing.

No help to the OP, but I have a Brother label printer that is the stone-age version of the one in Itsmcb's link. It's 20 years old and still going strong, and uses cartridges that are still easily available. I keep hoping it will fail so I can get a modern one with all the bells and whistles, but it just keeps on going.

Last year I bought something similar to this one, even though I have a P-Touch printer for the high visibility stuff!
Works a treat from your phone and fits in your pocket!

This is the one I bought, though currently unavailable.

I've had both Brother and Dymo, the Brother ones are far better and tapes are a third of the price.

Interesting pricing strategy on these little printers !

Not sure why this mentions affiliate links as its just a link to a graph!

I've had a Brother P-Touch H105 (superseded now by the looks of it) for years and it is still going strong.
Plenty of non-Brother label cassettes on the market as well.

Another vote for Nimbot. Printer and labels not expensive and the phone app is a doddle to use. I've also used the cable labels when I upgraded the new van to lithium and upgraded the mains, B2B and solar chargers.
