How beautiful - thanks for sharing!
(Despite being an avid birdwatcher for more years than I care to remember, I've only ever seen one once  )

Allways wanted to get a good photo of a kingfisher but not happened yet. Thanks for sharing great photos. (y)

Great photos. Only ever seen kingfishers in the distance or flying past. I’d love to get a nice close up photo if one

If you ever want to photograph a kingfisher close up go to the Mill at Lower Slaughter in the Cotswolds. The last couple of times we have taken visitors there has been a kingfisher in residence on the pool who seems to like having his picture taken!

One of the things I really look forward to when I go fishing on rivers (sometimes lakes as well but that's not as frequent) is to hear the "pip pip pip" sound before a kingfisher goes zooming past at water level looking for his dinner!

Probably the most photographed birds in the world.

Much, much better than the standard "bird on a stick".

Great photo's. (y)

A brilliant set in every way. I've only managed to get one usable shot of a kingfisher and that was shot on a housing estate in West London, not the usual place to go looking for one!

Greats pics thanx for sharing

I had only seen one or two fleeting glimpses of Kingfishers until I bought a Canoe, we did a rally for Fun at Shrewsbury and hired in Canoes for a paddle down the Severn and we saw loads, then we had a paddle with friends on the river Tees and and up the Leven where it joins and there were loads of Kingfishers up there as well.

So come to one of my rallies at Shrewsbury and have a gentle paddle down the river(y)
