I trialed an electric blanket on my no EHU trip out to Postern hill, Camping in the forest site earlier this week. It was only 4 degrees outside at night but the blanket on its lowest setting was lovely and toasty. It's a king size but on the lowest setting only takes just over 2 amps using my inverter. Result I think 👍

Also , if you are basic Motorhomer ,army winter warfare training all clothes put inside sleeping bag , now that is toasty !!!! 😂

Thats great if you have the power but a hot water bottle or body heat is just as good.(y)
I've just increased my solar to 300watts and added the 1200watt inverter so this was a trial run. Microwave and hairdryers work ok which was the main aim. The electric blanket was a bonus idea 😉

Erm... Wine, a 10.5tog bog standard quilt, body heat of the SO and put the kettle on if it's really chilly.

And we did Christmas on the NE Coast and Valentine's on the top of Teesdale!!

Must breed us tough up here 😉

Don’t tell my wife she will want one, she already has the heating on all night a 13.5 tog quilt and 4 blankets where as I just have a thin quilt it’s the same at home but there we have a water bed which is also permanently heated. I think she is one of the walking dead.

A 4 season sleeping bag and full thermals works for me, lay it on top and if it gets colder, get into it!

Extreme coldness, always carry a thick winter boiler suit. handy if your wild camping and have to move in a hurry! (y)

What is wrong with you lot. I’ve never had heating on at night, home away in motorhome or even when camping. I don’t use anything other than a summer duvet and have window or roof open.

Good duvet and teddy bear duvet covers for us, no heating on at night unless it goes below 8-10 degrees as Mrs Westy feels the cold🙄👍

Never have heating on, 2 duvets, sheets and a fleece if needed. If it's going to be cool I wear an old hoodie so I can put the hood over my bonce.

I have noticed however that the Carthago is a lot warmer than any other MH or camper we've had.

I don't normally shop at Aldi but on the way up to Newark last week, I popped in to pick up a few food things and finished up including a XL hoodie for less than a tenner. (got to keep the bonce warm these days as, I too, have no heat at night)
Didn't expect it to last long but it has survived it's first wash undamaged so there may be hope? Might pop into Aldi more often!

Some peoples' bodies have thicker insulation than others.

(Just sayin'..........).

If its going to be cold we just put a thin duvet underneath us. It makes a lot more difference than putting another on top.

Must be because I’m a softy southerner that I don’t require heating at night, not like these tough northerners 😜😜😜
Or you're too pickled to notice!😆
