I wont be taking up the sport as much as I would like to have a go..

Could not get the kayak/trolley down to the beach, let alone get in/on it...

It does make for interesting reading if you are into that kind of sport fishing..

Mo..i reckon you are right..even with a trolly they are a handful..
the sit on top is the weapon of choice for the kayak fishing brigade...a very stable platform and can be equipped with all the gear from fish finders to rod rests..but i suspect even before you load it with the equipment you would be looking at something weighing 30 something kg and very unwieldy..
Andy.

Unless you want to do yourself an injury or worse, leave that temptation alone!

Kayaks are NOT toys especially on the sea, if you don't know what you're doing it is very easy to get into trouble very quickly and that's just using it as a kayak, add in all your fishing stuff and actually trying to fish from it is just a disaster waiting to happen. You'd need proper waterproof and safety kit because if you did go in the water, which is highly likely, you can easily get hypothermia even in summer in our waters.

I know some would love to be able to get shot of that old joke book of yours Mo but I don't think even they would like to see you end up at the bottom of the ocean!! :giggle:
