Anyone been here , what's it like? Just booked 5 nights all inclusive , everything on your pitch, 23 march.
Seems a bargain but someone maybe knows better.

We stayed at their Easewell Farm site a couple of years ago after a recommendation from our neighbours. They re- book every year now as they get such good offers. Nice part of the world.

Driven past many times but never stayed!

You might find that Woolacombe is closed for the Winter.

There is a great Motorhome garage close to Mullacott Cross.

Also from Mullacott Cross you can get the North Devon Wave No. 21 bus to Barnstaple or Ilfracombe.

Woolacombe, I was born and bread in Woolacombe ,now living in Braunton 4 miles away.

The camp site Woolacombe bay is very good with a bus service to Woolacombe and to Ilfracombe.
Motorhome parking in Ilfracombe near the harbour (old bus station)

Stayed there a couple of years ago, at the top of a hill if I'm remembering correctly, the site had nothing wrong with it and is a bargain at that price. I have just read my trip log, my wife complained that the water in the shower was cold, about 1 mile downhill to the beach much harder walk back.

£50.50 for a week is a great deal for the UK.
That's what I thought, it's my birthday on the 25th so just looking for somewhere to go, looked at flights and hotel in albufara and Italy but this just come up while I was looking so seemed a no brainer, instead of about a grand with the van standing £55 with electric and water and grey on the pitch, bars and chip shop and stuff , no need to move off if it's ok.
Looked in the summer and it's about that much a night.

Just gone in and tried to book the same week...Its coming back as the site is closed that week?
ANY IDEAS?

Just checked again and found the only one open is the Golden Coast site which is a little less appealing unfortunately.

That's the one, what's the matter with it?

My comments were about the Woolacombe Bay site. I have not stayed on any other of their sites.

Golden coast is a family site. The toilet/shower block are nothing special, pitches are gravel, some slopping but good size. Bar and restaurant is basic food and drinks are expensive. There is a supermarket on that site. They have there own bus, big yellow double decker which you pay for, goes round there other three sites and then to Woolacombe. Woolacombe is two mile beach, take your surfboard chaser and dye your hair blonde and you will fit in with the surfers. It is possible to walk to the beach via footpaths and only a small piece of road but it’s all up hill on the way back. There is a footpath, old railway line route which goes to Ilfracombe. Any more info just ask. (y)

That sounds like us, never use site toilets and showers, the bus will be fine, and we do mostly our own cooking, and I am already blonde (y) (y)(y):giggle::giggle:
And what's more it isn't much more than some Aires we use.

We love woolacombe been to a couple of those sites ,stayed a caravan, dog loves the looong beach .

I cannot book it Chaser for some reason? It says the site is closed and the only one open is the Gold Coast site for March 2020.
I have tried a few different ways to book but it keeps coming back as closed ?
I have tried different dates too so I have not a clue to be honest?

Screen shot of what I get when trying to book

As I recall there is a very good cycle track all the way to Ilfracombe, its pretty much downhill from Woolacombe but a steady incline up to get back but plenty of seats on the route.
The road to the site, or even Woolacombe, is a little on the narrow side, or was when we went a few years ago. The local buses seem to zoom around the bends at 60 mph. Hedges were all overgrown which made the roads appear narrower, but one of the main drawbacks is meeting a caravan voming the opposite way as they generally can't reverse. (y)

There are no narrow roads to get to that site it’s on a main road.

Hopefully it's here

Im guessing that the Woolacombe bay site is closed for MARCH 23rd for 5 nights as it is now saying that the Golden coast is open for that week.
I have tried the link you supplied which is the one i have been using . It brings up the dates and how may adults etc when you put in the dates required ...it states it is closed? As in the snap shot I took earlier.
I think I may have to give up!
Thanks for trying though ...Kev

Don't know what you can be doing this is what I get

Agree with the above, touring pitches available for that week, various types price is for 5 nights

Hold on a bit...Thats the Golden coast not Woolacombe bay site. You had said it was Woolacombe bay originally. That is what set me on my way as we wanted to go there ourselves. However..The Golden Coast site IS open and does offer the prices that you have mentioned. Perhaps its a misunderstanding? I thought you were referring to the Woolacombe bay site itself? No worries

PS.....It is now not offering any dates for the 23rd! Bugger...
