Rally July 17-22 2025 Woodside Field Anniversary Rally

Hi Clive

I have been told that we will be attending this rally 😄

Great news GWAAC will be giving a defib session Monday 21st.

Is there any chance of us joining you for this meet. If so can you let me know the way to pay you
Thanks Rose and Mike

Thinking about an agenda for the meet. I could just copy last years but am looking for new ideas, any thoughts anyone?

If you are thinking about an adventure off site we can recommend.

The Concorde Museum (Aerospace Bristol) at Patchway.
Or the SS Great Britain, which is in the centre of Bristol.

If you want something a little closer try Westonbirt Arboretum or Dyrham Park National Trust.

I think I keep it simple and repeat the entertainments much the same previous years. I'm open to suggestions and more than happy for anyone to take a session.

Not sure why so far there are so few listed to attend this rally? Perhaps many are going to the Norfolk Show, but this is some distance away and with the number of Funsters there is room for more than one rally at once. Is it a bit of deja vu as Woodside hosts many crafting meets as well as Easter? Is it the start of school holidays means grandparent duties?

For those who haven't been to Woodside Field, Quackers who runs it maintains a great site, manicured very slightly sloping main lawn, water, elsan, grey waste with drive over, refuse (separate your recycling please). But no electric or toilet/shower. Space for a very large grassed dog pen to exercise your four legged friend in an even larger field with small woodland. Can accommodate most motorhomes with 30 pitches for rallies (5 at other times when as a MHF CL).

Large enclosed gazebo tent is used on rallies for any afternoon and evening activities such as quizzes, movie night (usually voted on), gin and rum imbibing, and other silliness, invented by participants. This rally should get a visit from air ambulance who will demonstrate cpr. No compulsion to join in anything. Two pubs in walking distance. Bath, Bristol not far away for day trips. Local dial up bus to Yate, for access to wider bus network.

What's not to love about a nice chilled friendly site with a small rally enabling you to engage with most participants so ideal for those new to it all.

unfortunately we will not be attending this year, we have house on the market ,
This was our very first rally and completely new to motorhoming 3years ago,
so for us we learned a lot from others and meet some great people,
Quackers are excellent host and go the extra mile ,
#Just for an idea maybe just some members could give a basic informal Learning on how everything works on your motorhome and a little on engine maintenance etc ,
For those who are new to motorhoming,
There plenty members on this rally with heaps of experience. That could help those of us that struggle abit .
I’m sure spaces will be filled nearer to the time .
We don’t know what position we will be in with this house, but still hope to make it at last minute?
Happy travels

You will be most welcome if you can fit it in.
I've tried a how things work and a what's under the bonnet sessions with no takers, can try again.

Still plenty of room if you want to attend this rally. Shout in this thread and Clivefog will send you all the details.

We couldn't make it earlier this year, but are hoping to pop along to this event😃. So hopefully we can make the numbers up! So perhaps you can put us down as probable !

Just had a few days away, at one time the only campers on the site, I had time to have a think.
