I don't know if this has already been posted but I heard today that John Ruffles of JR Consultancy has died. I know that many of us have used his services for uprating, a sad loss.

I heard from a colleague who was having an uprate done by JR. John's son called him and said his dad had died and they couldn't continue with the uprate.

I hope not what a smashing man to chat to and his service was quick, efficient and excellent. First class man and business.

I sent a condolence message via John's email address and whilst I wouldn't normally put it on here I thought some people might appreciate the response I received:

I just want to pass on my sympathy to John's family and friends. I was the first motorhome owner who used John's services for uprating just after he had given his info on to the DVSA, since then many of my motorhome friends used him too and were grateful for his assistance.​

He was a lovely sweet man and on the few occasions we chatted he was a pleasure to talk with and will be very much missed not only by me but the wider motorhome community who had the pleasure to do business with him.​
