Just had my 2014 ixeo 726 weight checked as I’m going to Europe in May for a couple of months
Guess what it’s exactly 3500 problem is it’s hardly loaded what do most of you do upgrade or risk it

Upgrade it’s not worth the risk and all you will be doing is spoiling your holiday by worrying about it?
Give www.svtech.co.uk a call?

Thanks for link

Like you I weighed our 2016 ixeo 726 and found almost no payload for the four people who would use it. SVTech were brilliant and I had the replacement V5 in a week and a day. Great service from both.

Ditto both Speve and Tighchis. Providing your on 16" tyres I believe its simple paper exercise to take the GVW to 3700kgs. To go above 3700kgs you'll need to fit air assist suspension on the rear which will take you up to 3850kgs. My comments above assume the base vehicle (2016 Ducato) for the ixeo is the same as a 2016 Adria Matrix.

I have spoken to a few people in the past and explained I've had air assist suspension fitted too ensure I was complainant and don't need to worry about getting pulled up for a weight check, their response was "t's a waste of money, no motorhome has ever been prosecuted for being overweight" They're possibly right, You pays your money you take your choice. For us its peace of mind and lets us get on with enjoying out travels without the worry.

Upgrade it, if something happened insurance could use that as an easy get out clause!

Don't forget, if you uprate to more than 3500 you will need C1 on your licence

Assuming your licence allows it, why wouldn't you upgrade as you can always down grade. Ours is 4T and it's so nice not to have to worry

Hi just got the ok from svtech to uprate to 3850kg without any mechanical modifications as long as I keep the axle weights the same which after checking weights again I’m sorted result
If anyone is thinking of doing this don’t make the same mistake I made by only asking for total weight

Good result, with my 726g I had to fit wider rear tyres (215-225) and get rear air suspension to go from 3500 to 3850.

That was an option if I want to increase axle weights but after rechecking vehicle axle weights I had 400kg on front 100kg on rear to spare and I was around half loaded anyway. I didn’t fancy the expense of suspension upgrades so decided to make do

Dan and Jan

Just sold it, so I am cash rich, MH poor. Looking for a new to us van later in the year.(y):p Trying not to spend the money.

Someone got a nice MH. Off to the NEC show this week I assume, even if looking at pre-used it can help. We were in the similar situation back in 2016, not really sure what we wanted as our first MH, going to the Feb 2016 show certanly gave us a better idea.
