Don't know your route, but do you have crit'air for France andd the umweldtplak for Germany, less than a tenner for the 2 but worthwhile to save fines if you inadvertantly stray into a zone. Will be researching if there is a country wide one for Italy too.
JockandRita have you any more info ?

If you are going through Switzerland you will need a ticket. Under 3.5ton, buy at the border. Over 3.5ton buy on line.

Sorry Sue, no up to date info on any requirements for driving in Italy. We just paid whatever the toll charges were at the booths, however, they were significantly less than French toll charges..............as are most countries.

I have no info re clean air zones or requirements to comply if applicable.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

We are very much looking forward to the holiday and wish to thank all for their efforts and support, many thanks 😎

A lot of road works being done in Italy especially on bridges in the North. Don’t even attempt to slow down to the speed limit in the works as you will be the only one and likely to slightly annoy the truck drivers. Tolls were still very cheap and you have to weigh your bread in Lidl.

And don’t forget the Italian attitude to traffic lights:

In Milan they are instructions, in Rome a suggestion, and Christmas decorations in Naples! ;)

Fai un buon viaggio.

For French tolls, including Mont Blanc tunnel, ATMB is good. You can pay by UK credit card, too, which is good in case of disputes.

www.ATMB.com

And here's the official site for the Crit'Air sticker (be aware, there are scam sites out there!). You can change the language to English if you need to.

Hope this helps :) Have a great trip!! :)
