thanks.
(and yes I am an optimist for this years travels)

Some general info. that may be helpful:
Some campsites offer their own ferry & pitch deal (sure others will be along to advise on this) but a popular option is the Red Funnel offer https://www.redfunnel.co.uk/en/holidays/touring-camping-packages/ . Alternatively stay in the Lymington/New Forest area & travel as a foot passenger via Wightlink https://www.wightlink.co.uk/ - the train station Lymington Pier is at the ferry terminal. They do now also have a motorhome offer https://www.wightlink.co.uk/special-offers/save-up-to-40-on-motorhome-fares .
Can also use Tesco Clubcard vouchers for Wightlink https://www.wightlink.co.uk/ways-to-save/tesco-clubcard

I think camping and caravan club used to give discounts. Or maybe the other one. Cant remember now.

I looked to book to go over in June for a few days. Did costing with CAMC and was priced around £120 each way plus then the cost of CAMC £25 per night . Then priced against a campsite Away resorts Whitecliff bay 2 nights £11 each night and through the company £90 each way for ferry.

It will be terrible there at that time of year, all campsite will be closed what ever you don't go😆😉😆😂😁(by the way we are thinking we might go there about then)

We have stayed at Whitfield Forest the last couple of years, a lovely site, with woodland walks, saw red squirrels several times.
Pat in reception can put you on a good value ferry crossing with Red Funnel Southampton to Cowes I oW.

I've booked for IOW first 2 weeks in August, got the ferry price for £120 return ⛴️⛴️😂😂

Nearly passed out at the advertised prices for ferries for early August and 8.4 metres. Camp Site said they had offers with Red Funnel - came back at £270 return!

Tried CCC as a last resort as they advertised 50% discount on over 8m length?

Showing on line as £300 plus 😳

Filling in the online form entered membership number and magically the price reduced to £166.70.

Still expensive for 40 mins each way but certainly paid for the annual subs 👍
