Does anybody know if the Sligachan campsite on Skye is open ?

Does anybody know if the Sligachan campsite on Skye is open ?

No. It is closed “ due to Covid”.

We tried to stay there two weeks ago. We rang the Sligachan Hotel who didn’t ring back and sent an e-mail to the campsite website, without reply.

We stayed on a campsite on the mainland but visited Sligachan. Barriers across the site entrance and “Closed due to Covid” notices on the barrier.

I had always thought the hotel and campsite were jointly owned till I found this while looking to answer the question

we have stayed there many times and always used the hotel for food

every days a school day

Sligachan campsite is closed owner is very anti people coming to Skye due Covid over the last year. Plenty of space to park at the hotel though as plenty of vans there recently.

Good food, micro brewery onsite.
