........to the perennial question. “How do I style my hair in the MH without EHU’?
So intrigued by the current Dyson TV advert featuring a cordless styler I looked it up.
It does have a rechargeable lithium battery which is supposed to give 30 min use - more than enough for quite a few goes in between hookup.

However like all things Dyson, it comes with a sting in the tail. £400!
Ouch.

Number 3 all over for me - during lockdown I cut my own hair, it looked great right up until I put my glasses back on 🙂
Same for me a 3 and 2 on sides in summer. My clippers have paid for themselves over and over. Average price of hair cut here is £12

Go on Annie, you’re worth it😉👍

Hair straighteners use very little wattage, unless you are using ghd's then a 100w inverter will run most of them

Just pondering this problem.

We have a diesel heater in the MH. When it's running it produces a decent draught of warm air through several vents simultaneously.

I wonder what the heating effect would be if all of this heatflow was diverted to just one pipe ? The vent pipes are about 4 inch diameter, so if the pipe was say 2 inch diameter you'd get a better heatflow maybe ?

Lads don't buy this. If she has a hair drying solution, firstly, if you are anything like me you'll get no fun out of it, but much more important!!!...

It will be so much harder to convince her of the necessity of Lithium batteries, inverters, and B2B chargers, Gadgets that you can enjoy. (y)

Hair styling, only when I have just been to the hairdressers......I don't do styling.🙃
I don't care about going out in the winter with damp hair, I must own the most under worked hairdryer in the world.

A styler is the flat tube thing that you clip on your hair dryer outlet 😎.

I think the Dyson 'styler' is a pair of straightening tongs. Ann says the mains ceramic ones made by Karmin (not Carmen) are the best. Only 40w or something but to start them I had to fit a 1000w inverter 😆 the previous 475w one would trip out.

Wot no Carmen heated rollers these days?, along with a pair of knickers over your head to hold em in overnight?
That's what my dear old mum did for years:giggle:
Or.... are some of you too shy to mention it? :xblush:

I used to have some Braun gas tongs with removable brush tube, if you get the ones with the 'steam' setting too you have everything you need ... alternatively you used to be able to also get a Braun heated styling brush which would also work, depending on what hair style you want and/or the type of hair. All will dry hair when used for a while but better to use a microfibre towel turban for 10 minutes or so to get most of the moisture drawn out of it.

I haven't been to the hairdressers for about 30 years ... ever since I had my hair trimmed and it ended up half an inch shorter on one side than the other!

Just buy a bag for life at the supermarket, 50p, and cut two eye holes in it, pop it on your head, job done! (y)

I use these Hair Styla USB hair straighteners. Wash and dry hair, then run your locks through the straighteners several times and they style adequately. Obviously, not as good as GHDs or probably the Dyson, but as these only cost me the equivalent of about £25 I am more than happy not to look like a happy camper that’s come through a hedge backwards. They recharge within about 20-minutes.
