Hi Folks,
The question is in the Title.

That's a bit random a response.
What do you mean?
That was to Big Tree

Backing up above comments.
Commonly known as a jumbo ADAPTOR... not a regulator.
Just turns the bottle supply on/off.
Thread takes standard butane pigtail.

Used one a lot of the years.

Short and sweet, I thought that was the best way to explain it. 😉

I got mine back from my mate last week, he only had it 4 years. Don’t really need it anymore as I have refillables now.

Yes as already said it is known as a 'jumbo' adaptor , I've no idea why , but is basically an on/off valve allowing the full bottle pressure to flow.
If you attempt to use it conneceted to say a portable 2 ring gas hob it will blow the 'o' rings out & leak gas.
We use them on propane cylinders ,normally, when Oxy-propane gas cutting/burning/welding

Way back when??? I used it to power the caravan gas fittings.
The caravan had a bulkhead regulator.

It was that far back I couldn't remember what the one I had did.

It fits a repsol spanish bottle that you can then connect, with the correct hose,to your LPG filler point and run the gas through an empty bottle to your van. Or connect to your regulator. The photo shows an adaptor.

Allows an unregulated flow of Gas, which needs to reduced for an appliance to work...normally 30mbar....modern caravans and motorhomes are fitted with inboard 30mbar regulator's.....old school campers reduce the pressure at cylinder top...28/37 mbar...except German units who used 50mbar....in Syria it was.... don't go there..

We have 2 of these adapters; one with a Truma label that cost a King's Ransom in 2019, and the second, bought some 4 days later from the local ferreteria, for about 13€ ...
