Fenwick's do a MH cleaner and a C/van cleaner. Is there any real difference or can one be used in place of the other?

I don't see why not - they also do a grey streak remover which if you read the label is a less diluted version of the motorhome cleaner which you dilute anyway. So I gave up buying both. To be sure though you could check the "ingredients" of both - mind you they don't give much away on the MH cleaner

I do remember a few years ago now there was a big spat involving legal teams between OMF and Baileys caravans who were suggesting that Fenwicks damaged their vans and if you used it it would invalidate their warranty I never did hear the outcome bu think OMF must have won because Fenwicks is still on sale.

I have always used it and found it to be as good if not better than some others and never had any damage on my vehicles or vans

An ex tugger has given me a bottle of C/van cleaner and I know from previous experience that it worked well on my C/van but not to sure about using it on the MH. The ingredients appear to be the same but the listing is worded differently, possibly to confuse . MH is currently yellow with pollen so will need a good clean in a week or two.

I bought two bottles of Fenwicks cleaner at a Warners show, which I haven't used yet, so dont know if its any good or not.
However, the consensus of opinion when returning to the funster camp was " Thats crap", "all Fenwicks products are crap", "waste of money":cry::cry:
Ah well, time will tell, if I ever get round to using it.
Anyone else that has used it and can tell me if I am wasting my time, please say now, or its going into the next Fun Charity Raffle:giggle:

Hi Les if you don't want to use it on your lovely MH I'll use it on my camper..

I have found the Fenwicks products do a good job. I have some "Bobby Dazzler" which if applied after the cleaner does give a good finish and seems to keep the van cleaner longer but I must admit as my vans have gotten larger (through purchase and not by themselves) I tend to just use the cleaner and haven't used the Bobby Dazzler for a while as it means going over the van twice.
As I seem to have a bit more time at the moment I may give it a treat at the weekend...

I also use Bobby Dazzler and it gives an oily layer that makes the water roll off the surface. I apply it with a garden sprayer and it only takes a few minutes to apply a coating

I used the Fenwicks cleaner years ago when we first got the van. I found it done an ok job, but the black streaks were a problem for it, and it didn't cope too well. A quick switch sometime later to Autoglym motorhome cleaner and boom, no more black streaks. Now days, I use Autoglym shampoo conditioner for most washes, and only use the motorhome cleaner when the black streaks get bad again. Works for me. (y)

Reminds me of a time when I was in the RAF.
A friend of mine cleaned the side windows on a helicopter with glass cleaner ( they were plastic ) the more he rubbed the streakier they got.... it was dissolving the plastic.
He got quite a boll....ing.
Funny for the rest of us though.

Must have been the old pink Windolean, it was good at that.

Until recently I used to use window cleaner either Windolene or Mr Mussel or Lidl's to clean all the surfaces inside the van.
Last year I found a bottle about a third full I think it was Mr Mussel it had been in a cupboard in the van for a year or two. It had lost all its colour and smelt of bleach, needless to say I don't use anymore now I know there is quite a lot of bleach in it.

I have used the cleaner and Bobby Dazzler from new and do like them. I have found that using the BD after the cleaner makes the next cleaning job easier. If somehow I am prevented from putting the BD on then the next clean is more difficult, esp. getting dead flies off.

Can you use normal car shampoo and wax?
I have bought Fenwick products but find them quite time consuming. Smudger55
