Is it possible to buy a local data sim card in Benidorm?

Asking for friends who are there for the next 3 months and have 3g ipad.

they don§t have access to a computer so it would really need to be able to just put it in ipad and it works, appreciate that this might not be possible.

If there is, details of where to buy and what to ask for would be welcome.

A load of the funsters that are already in Beni have them..
Sure someone will comment more in a bit..

HOWEVER. There are that many bars and hotels with free WIFI, Why not just use those ??

Go to Andy's Phone Shop located in the indoor market. Very helpful man who we used last week. Also sells SIM card which allows you to call UK for a cent a minute + iva(vat).

Thanks Encantador for asking on our behalf. Sure enough we found Andy in the indoor market and he was very helpful. We purchased a SIM card which gives us the flexibility of keeping in touch with family and friends back home.

We bought an Italian Data SIM this year in Italy and it was brilliant, much cheaper than the Campsites WiFi. We would like to buy one in Spain too , any recommendations? Thanks

We used a Hits data only Sim in Spain last winter, it worked fine in our MiFi.

I use Lebara a SIM card (free in a lot of the local shops in Spain) 25euros for 3gb for one month or 1gb for 7 euros for one month

In May we used a Lebarra SIM, bought locally. Lasted for 30 days from registration and gave 1GB for 8 Euros, 2GB for 14 Euros and 3GB for 25 Euros

Don't forget you will need your passport to buy/register the SIM

Yes.. Up in old town.. Opposite the Bingo hall / McDonalds..
Cross the road and it's the pedestrian street just to the right.. Orange shop on the right before "ZARA"...

But you can get orange sims / top ups etc at the indoor market.
