Why is it I can hear a generator at the far side of the rally field but cant hear the kettle whistle 6 foot away. The old guy next door thought his earing aid was faulty. Do they make something to convert the whistle to a low frequency i can hear. Maybe to the same as a genie . Maybe my age and years of abusing my ears as a teenager with heavy metal at Sheffield City Hall. Oh and work but I may be able to claim for that !

How about asking the people with the generator if they can send you a text message if they hear your kettle boiling ?

I think it's the higher frequency sounds that you lose first when you're hearing starts to go, so a whistle would be harder to hear than a genny ?

The higher frequencies drop off with age.....that's why I can't hear my wife when she asks me to do jobs.
