They are sometimes used a Bird Scarers during the day, to stop the Pigeons crapping on your van roof, then in the evenings people form a circle and start singing along to keep the foxes away from your bins!

Back in the 80s we would roar off to Italy or France and go on campsites that the tents were already erected and kitted out, great for couples with young children and having Kids Clubs gave you a break.

One time a sangria and nibbles party was organised and started at 15.00 and ended at 15.30 people that had chosen not to come complaining to the campsite, and everyone just disappeared.

So us and our friends took all the booze and food back to our tents, finishing in the early hours racing round the campsite on these.

Although they had good reason to complain no one did. Bob.
