Happy FLT since 2011
We have just booked the ferry to Dublin. The cheapest was with P&O from Liverpool at £436 return in June returning early July.
Quite happy with that as it saves driving to Holyhead, which was also nearly £100 dearer.
Its 9 hour sailing time to/from Liverpool but it includes a cabin for the overnight return.

We have been a few years ago and it was very nice but can any one recommend any must see - not to be missed places?

Many must see places are along the Wild Atlantic Way, you could Google that for more info.

I especially like the southwest, the Beara peninsula is stunning. Rugged and wild, but with palm trees in places. (Gulf Stream). Glengarriff is lovely, Garnish island, Dursey Head and its island which is only accessible by cable car. Kenmare is great , only a small town but but really lively.
I know the area well but have never been in a Motorhome. Some of the roads are “interesting “.
People are incredibly friendly. I’m sure you will have a great time.

Malahide area north of Dublin is lovely and easy train ride into the city for sightseeing and a perusal of the Guiness factory:giggle:

We've done Ireland twice so far and are returning in May. Definitely the Wild Atlantic Way, the north west corner is stunning. We sailed to Belfast from Cairnryan, turned right and travelled the Causeway Coast before picking up the WAW. At the recommendation of CaptainPaul we're also going to track the Shannon.

Not much wild about it this evening TerryL 🙂

As a local, agree with all of the above

But, do check out some of the roads in advance on google earth or whatever; and make sure that you travel in the same direction as coaches do on routes such as "the Ring of Kerry" for example. Otherwise you could end up in a world of traffic pain.
Add Killarney as a destination...National Park etc

Keep this post going please. We are thinking of doing something similar and would appreciate your advice.
Safe travels.
