IPhone 5s mp3 help needed

I am trying to add an mp3 file to my phone for a new ringtone.
To get it on the phone I emailed it to myself, it plays fine in the email but the phone will not allow me to move it into files or store it on the phone.
I only have a windows computer and they don't seem to like each other. Please help

You might have to download a ringtone app. That what I had to do.

Why not download it to the phone via iTunes.

Itunes is the Apple program you need on your PC to download & upload files to any apple device.

Just googled it appears it will work, thanks for all the help.
