Invite to consider MHome value from Caravanguard

Just got my renewal quote which invites me to review the insured value of our motorhome. Never previously thought of this since purchase from new in 2018 but have other Funsters upgraded the value, or regularly do so? Is this a ‘need to do’ that I have missed?Cheers and thanks

Probably just as a result of increasing values and an opportunity too increase the premium?

Insurance valuation advice

We’re due to renew our motorhome insurance later in July and are wondering about the level of insurance. The van is a 2012 Bailey 620 SE. Its done about 45k miles. Last year, we put the value at up to £33k. This is the most that the insurer would pay out. In the renewal notice this year...

After discussing the matter with Caravan Guard, we renewed but kept the value at the same level as the previous year, despite the strange times we’re living through. In the event we have to make a claim for the whole van and they pay the disclosed value (a big if, I know) we’ll still recover pretty much what we paid for the van 7 years ago and have had great fun in the meantime. But fingers crossed we never need to make a claim. Or you.
