What's the best way to introduce my large dog to my motorhome? Anyone got any tips or experiences to share?

Introduce them 'van this is shep, shep this is van' other names are available

sorry could not resist, there a threads about this try searching dogs travelling or similar

Open door sit in van, leaving door open. Sit long enough dog will come and see what you are doing. Give dog a treat.

Of course 😜😜

If he travels all right in a car you should have no problem. Try him with it stationary first as when travelling he will need to be secured in some way. (Many threads on here on the subject )

We found our two dogs just followed us in when we first got our MoHo
Just leave the door open and he/she will follow

We also got the dogs used to harnesses etc at home so when in MoHo they were already used to them and it was ‘normal’

I would just put his bed in the van and some nibbles on the floor then let him chill for a bit.
If he’s anything like my 2 Jacks he will be up in there like a shot as soon as the doors open😁😁

Dogs love vans far more than cars. Just leave the door open and let them come in.

Sadly our dog has now gone but we used to have a burnese mountain dog she loved the van the only problem she use to love lying with her feet under the pedal’s when you were trying to drive, even worse was because she always wanted to be close at night she would sleep at the bottom of our bed on the floor right in front of the toilet door, you want to try moving a 10stone dog when your that desperate in the middle of the night to go😳😳.
