Found this YouTube Channel by accident......

Deals with fully renovating old dilapidated power tools etc.

Based somewhere in the Far East, there is no commentary, a few hints in English text but very thorough!

The channel name is " Gear Show "

The episode below shows how to rebuild a rechargeable battery for a cordless drill. Most episodes deal with renovating defunct power tools.

Fascinating....

But who has a low amp spot welder to hand?
Are the new battery amps lower than original.... No point in building up voltage if the A/H is low... The new are considerably smaller even though they are lithium.
I've soldered rechargeable cells into cell packs but I don't think the heat needed is any good for the battery.
