Insurance cover for Eastern Europe

It might encourage a response if you were more specific on countries. Do you mean places like Belarus and Lithuania? 
Croatia yes, it's an EU country but not sure about Bosnia.

These folk offer insurance for the Balkans, including Albania. I suspect they may not be cheap but you can only find out by asking them.

Which company do you have cover for Croatia with?
I've just been looking at insurance for Bosnia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Albania (serbia alreday being in standard 'EU + others' policies now.
Scenic Insurance have come up in searches on the topic as providing this insurance, but when I contacted them they said they don't do it, so presumably have stopped relatively recently.
Albania seems to be the biggest problem - some won't do it at all, and those who do seem only to offer 3rd party insurance - with a masssive hike in premiums. Then there's the problem of breakdown cover - Camping and Caravan Club doesn't cover North Macedonia, Albania or Serbia, but it does cover Bosnia and Montenegro.
Are there any simple answers to this? Is it possible to get comprehensive insurance and breakdown cover for all the Balkan countries?
Herts Insurance seem to come close on the insurance, but will only do 3rd party for Albania; they say their Breakdown policy covers all the countries but they didn't enclose a copy in their email, or a copy of the vehicle cover policy, which doesn't inspire confidence.
Any one know any more, please, particularly if comprehensive cover is available for Albania from anyone?
If not I guess I'll have to settle for Comfort (who I'm already with) and go round Albania, which would be a shame as I'd envisaged going down to Greece via the coast then back to UK 'inland'

We are insured with shield & they covered us for Albania on Our last trip. With a green card @£30 a Month. Ok we thought.

After many phone calls, it seems that it is only possible to get 3rd party insurance for Albania. Consequently we've decided it not worthwhile paying double our usual insurance to add a couple of countries which we would only spend a few daysin anyway so we're sticking with Comfort which will cover Serbia (as do most/all?) Bosnia and Montenegro for just the cost of the green card

We are also considering Albania and Montenegro. If you already have full insurance and your company don't cover these countries can you get separate third party cover for the period with another company?
You can get 3rd party insurance or buy it at the border. One insurer mentioned they have just one underwriter who will do Albania 3rd party, and I found only 2 others - my guess is that there is just the one underwriter who will do Albania, but I’m not willing to go without fully comprehensive insurance. Theft was also mentioned as a particular problem in Albania.
That’s all a shame as all the reports seem to say how people have enjoyed Albania and how nice they have found the people, but I don’t see the sense of paying double just to get 3rd party to visit one country for a few days.
