Having changed vans from our Hobby C Class 2010 to a Hymer A class 2018 Safeguard have issued their renewal at £770. Thats over £350 increase on the old van.
Comfort are quoting £470 including their breakdown cover Including Europe.
Would be interested in anyones experience of using them.
Currently awaiting a call from NFU.
Adrian Flux weren’t really very competitive.
Thanks

We are with LV= a Hymer B678DL A class and renewal this year including UK & EU breakdown cover and unlimited windscreen cover £331.04. That’s over £100 less than last year.👍😊

No issues with comfort but then again never had to claim..
I was with Safeguard for years and did have a big claim once and 2 x breakdowns, all sorted to satisfaction BUT of late whenever i try for a quote they are far more expensive.
Comfort have good windscreen cover, Important on an A class and something to check if you are looking at alternative quotes. (y)

My 2014 Burstner was £370 last month with breakdown cover, Less than £10 increase from last year.

I think you will find dozens of not hundreds on motorhome forums with Comfort. They were certainly the best and cheapest cover for me. They seem very on the ball. They are backed by Aviva so a good solid company.

As for their response to claims, well most of us don't so it's a difficult one to answer.

Interesting that Comfort don’t protect NCB.
LV come in the cheapest with Britannia Rescue and Recovery UK and Europe And protected NCB. £10 cheaper than Comfort.
Strange thing is they don’t recognise Hymer and it gets registered as Fiat Motorcaravan. they also assure me windscreen cover is unlimited.
Decision Time.

I couldn't get a quote from LV. Their system didn't recognise Burstner as a make. Didn't instill me with confidence.

As for protected no claims, personally I never bother. If you have a claim they will increase your premium anyway on account of having had a claim.

You need to put in the make of base vehicle and I assure you they have an excellent service👍😊😊

That is because they don't have a NCB it's a nett policy, you will find their nett price equates to having a max NCB.

Well the person I was talking to about a quote clearly didn't know this as she told me my vehicle didn't exist and couldn't be insured by them.

On top of that I prefer to do business online not on the telephone and if I remember correctly they only do the telephone.

Having spoken to them , once it was explained how to enter the vehicle details I was given the choice to do it online or she would quote me on the phone. I opted for the phone.
Jury is still out on which one I will choose.
