For those little critters that get through your defences.

We are so pleased with these that we’ve bought another.

USB charge lasts all eve and through the night. Best thing since sliced bread.

+1

We bought one of these a few months ago during a visit to a local camping shop (- caravanstuff4u.co.uk), and we’re very pleased with it. I agree with the above comments re charging. It has already zapped a few bugs. We also use it as a night light on the lowest brightness setting. Recommended!

Does it wake you up when it zaps something? I can just imagine nodding off then..... CRACK! 😆

These don't work on mosquitos, they are not attracted by the light.
Strange??? My wife bought one of these from Aldi earlier in the year. Thought I’d give it a go in our MOHO in the South of France his year, caught at least three mosquitos on the first night of use. (Definitely mozzies and not flys). Can’t argue with any science behind it, but can say they were dead on the wires (I removed them with tweezers - electric off !!).

Ah thanks for that. I looked at these on Amazon last week after getting bitten overnight in Bruges a couple of weeks ago. I didn't bother after reading that article but maybe I'll speculate £18 after all 👍

In my experience they are effective for mosquitos but useless for normal flies, they just don't appear to be interested in the light source.

There are Carbon Dioxide traps, work as the insects are attracted to CO2. An electric grid thrn kills them. Also propane versions available for use with no electricity.
