I know , a little curve ball, but has anyone got recommendations for inflatable 2 person kayaks??

Gumotex Twist 2 are very good quality and value.
I`ve had mine a few years and still in good condition, great motorhome accessory

I have the Decathlon Itwit 2 great little canoe the drop stitch floor gives it real rigidity compared to the old air tube flooring of many competitors

We have a "three" person Broken Link Removed Inflatable Canoe
It fits two adults and a bit of gear (or a small child or dog)

Over the last 5 years we have used it on lakes, rivers and the sea, excellent boat, almost as good as a roylex canoe

We have two IKEA bags, one for the canoe and the other for all the kit.
Weight is 18kg for the canoe

We, too, have the Itiwit 2 from Decathlon, and find it excellent for the two of is, and our two Jack Russells. The bladders are protected by a strong woven outer, which makes the kayak very robust. It packs down to a (large) backpack, so can be lugged a fair distance, although we normally inflate at the Moho, and carry it inflated to the water. One word of warning: with the two layer construction, it can be tedious to dry it out after use! We generally use it quite a bit on a trip, the dry it out in the garage on our return.

I seem to recall that Johns Cross had an inflatable kayak on offer when we went in just over a week ago.

Had the same for about 7 years. Had to replace one inner tube but reasonably priced and readily available

I have been toying with idea of getting an inflatable Kayak for some time, in fact I am still thinking:giggle:
I question I have been asking myself is of course how often will I actually use it, also where, hopefully at sea going around sheltered bays etc. How easy are they to inflate/deflate & if fabric covered dry out.
Like most things you only get what you pay for, but what is the best design/make for your use and at what price?
I found this video review on you tube, I found it useful in answering many basic points, I hope you all do also.

I think first decision is Kayak or Canoe !

(As my old Scout Leader used to say, "Eskimo's go in Kayaks, Red Indians go in Canoes")

+1for Gumotex. I have the solar plenty of room for a couple of biguns and a small (child or dog)

We have a Sea Eagle 370 2 seater. Very comfy and great to use on lakes and calm inland waters.

Some 15 years ago, A Guy at La Manga had an inflatable Sailing catamaran, He was quite pleased with it. I think it was a Sea Eagle or similar. He said they also did a range of other boats including Canoes.

Just make sure it fits n carries the 2 of you, and a good price, i doubt you’re gonna be giving it SAS type treatment,it’s for leisure, all the ones I’ve seen that make it to manufacture are of a good quality. You’ll probably get a cracking 2 nd hand off E bay n save £s. I bought sevylor n it’s great, 2nd hand woulda been just the same.

I fancied the Gumotex Twist 2 but I think we may be struggling in payload ... I’d need to get on scales to be sure but try to avoid that ... there’s plenty with the Solar ... possibly even for 3 of us
