Looking for ideas for a inflatable awning. I have a Malibu A class and it has a Thule omnistor 9000 5m long fixed to the side of it.
We go to lots of BSB and racing weekends and are normally parked up from Thursday to Monday and want a waterproof outside space to chill out in the evening.
I have been looking at getting a Thule safari room (seem to be expensive) to fit this or a blow up awning. Does anyone use a blowup awning fitted to a Motorhome? If so how does it connect to the Thule awning? And any recommendations of these as well.

We use the Motor Ace as per the pic. Think its quoted weight is 35Kg, comes in a large holdall complete with pegs, poles, pump. The fiddly bit is threading the beading through a long awning beam but otherwise takes 5 mins to inflate and another 5 to peg out. Need to check the central inflatable beams do not intrude on the habitation door. I seem to recall it comes in three heights. We like it, all the panels zip out if you wish or zip the top half down to use as a window (useful to keep dog from wandering off!) Has curtains if needed, large floor space, bit like taking your conservatory with you!

Thanks for this, so does the Motor ace connect to your awning on your van?

We have the same awning and it slides into the slot on the bottom of the Thule wind out awning (inner side).

We had a Kampa variant, we wound the awning so I could reach , fed it through track, but we had an issue, Omnistore slot 6mm Kampa had 8mm bead, we had to use an adaptor 🤔

Just sold out Kampa air awning found it to heavy and bulky to store away also difficult to thread into awning rail a lot of wait to hang on awning till inflated. Have bought a safari room it is much lighter and easier to store away we prefer it to the Kampa air awning.

The awning has a twin bead connection which slides through the channel on the van awning beam, just wind out the beam enough to reach it, feed the Kampa bead into the channel and pull through, making sure the internal inflatable beam does not obstruct the habitation door. Once fed into the channel it can be slid back and forth to get the position right. Ideally it is a two man operation but I have done it solo. Need to be cautious in relation to the weight/leverage on the van awning beam until the air poles take the weight.
