Inclinometer

Hi all, has anyone tried one of these inclinometers?
A but gadgety I know but I thought it may save having to dig the level out and find somewhere flat to put it - that you can see from the driver's seat!
I appreciate some of you don't bother - I just thought something like this might make life easier!

I always thought these were too technical - so I've never bother leveling.

Funnily enough I have just bought one of these, very basic but probably near enough for starters.
cCheap off ebay! They were always fitted in Mitsubishi Shoguns.

That's what I'm wondering, I found one for £6 & thought I'd risk it but out of stock
These are more like £50 so more of a gamble!

I have one of those. As suggested, the step changes is not good enough for levelling. The one Gerry77 has would probably do the job as it is analog.

I just use a glass of water. If it looks close enough it's emptied and replaced with wine.

We have always had problems with this version and found the need to double and triple check it before confirmation of it being level or not.

G&T is an excellent leveller.

I have tried lying a can of Stella on the table to see if it rolls off but I nearly drove off the ramps last time trying to catch it

It‘s a shame that they tend to lack an audio alarm for that purpose.

Yes, these straightforward questions can often attract meandering replies. My contribution to this is that we have previously used a half -full square-sided water drinks bottle laid on its side, you can more easily spot the incline one way, then turn it 90 degrees for the other. You could even draw a mid line down the side. But normally we don't bother. Near enough is good enough, get the kettle on is more important!

I use the Truma app on my phone. Admittedly you have to get up to place on a flat surface but it does the job for nowt.

If you were going to do some serious off roading with a danger of tipping over then maybe a worth while investment.
As Stealaway says near enough is good enough with one of those cheap bubble levels.

We use the sliding door, if it’s too heavy to move either way we have to adjust, if it moves a little or stays where is is (a bonus) we are fine.

You need a clock in addition to these gadgets. It's no good having the inclination if you haven't got the time.

Nah, automatic levelling system fitted. Money well spent!

We put a marble on the work-surface, and see which way and how fast it rolls. From experience. I can judge whether it's level enough , or if I need the ramps.
