So really, what they should be writing about is the number of numpties who have a keyless car and don't secure their remote control thingies in a Faraday fob or pouch. Are there any keyless motorhomes? I suppose the £100,000+ jobbers, but they'll surely come with a tracker?

Tend to agree, but with nobody actually using them there are lots more in storage and parked up than being used. You would like to think that 75% are being stopped and caught due to not many having genuine reasons for use.

They all are. Most people don’t even know how to “drive“ these days, the car does all for them. That’s why the happily drive around in the fog with no lights on, sit parked up on the roadside with their lights on, and drive at, or above speed limits in bad road conditions. They are oblivious

I parked outside my son's house. After a few minutes he shouted "Dad, your car is rolling down the hill!"
Out we went, opened the door, applied the brakes more firmly.

IF I'd had to get a key in the lock while it was moving then it would have hit a car parked further down or rolled into a brick wall.
You can't legislate for numpties!
