Import Registration? (1 Viewer)

Would I be correct in thinking that if you import a new Motorhome can you tell the DVLA as to what date you want the registration to start?
Or maybe they take the date from when you bring it over and pay the VAT..

You do it when you get into uk as you need to prove you have had necessary changes to lights speedo etc.

I think you have to evidence the date of 1st registration in the country of manufacture... the supplying dealer should give you that doc... which you record in your application form and send off with your UK registration application... and you will then be recorded as first owner.

You tell them the date I'm away at moment can't remember but it has to be either 10 or 14 days from your application date.
VAT has to paid within 10 days of importing and you can't register until VAT is paid.
