When out and about we always believe in not upsetting the locals, but unfortunately our fellow motohomers don't give a ****, and you would think with everywhere stopping motorhomes parking, they would have more consideration and act like they do in their own counties.
This has just been posted on a spanish motorhome forum, the translation is not the best, and people wonder why it's becoming more and more difficult.

Here in Javea, we have had motorhomes parked on a building plot, they can't move them without going to court, many english and others, some been there since October and still there, we only stop 2 or 3 days anywhere then move on, these FLT are going nowhere, and they moan about gypsy travellers.

And to top it off, the builders put cones and signs out and they moved them. RANT OVER. Bob.

Looks like in that camp they have their own drilling rig to dump waste.....?

The translation is poor Bob as you said, I can work out that the Dutch man is emptying his cassette but why do they have to kick an octopus around....

:D2

I "off-site motorhomed" in Javea once.

Did see any octapuses though...

No trouble from the officials but, of course, I knew people... ;)

JJ

You also did not want to park with them, had to seek out an alternative location. Bob.

I must admit, I'm a bit baffled as to why someone, who has spent 10's of thousands on a motorhome would find it enjoyable to pitch up on a building site for days on end ?
In transit, as a last resort perhaps but not as a destination.
What odd folk Motorhomers are

In the ideal world a caravan is better for staying long periods in one place, and a transit truck to pull it. :whistle2:
:pop: Bob.

So where are they getting their water and emptying their loo??

Those of us who where doing it back in the 90`s even could see this coming. We where fortunate to have the R-V with capacity. We would maybe have a few quiet days somewhere pretty, and then go and find a campsite for a week or so. I have even cleaned up before leaving, taking others litter away before to-day. But NOT their cassette crap!.

BTW, as Scouts back in 50`s. You DUG latrines and backfilled properly before you left. After a scout camp apart from some marks on the grass where the old groundsheet's had been, there was little sign and within a week you would not think anyone had been.

Totally agree. My neighbour who has now retired from motorhoming tells me of all of the beautiful places they wild camped across Europe. We use aires and sites and I can see her point of view but why wild in packed out streets and building sites etc. Of course everyone is entitled to live their life as they wish ...but not for me.
