All the gear, and no idea!
Well I’ve just took the new bus to work for a weigh in and………
It’s bloody heavy!! I need to up plate to 4700kgs.
Few bits in garage
Full fuel
Full gas
NO WATER I usually carry 170 ltrs (a fraction more than Lenny HB :rofl: and a bit less than funflair 😤)
Me in it
4240kg 🤔🤔🤔
Got the paperwork for SV Tech to uprate so that’s the way to go😁

If you go over 4500kg you will need to change the alloys as well as rear air to get to 4800kg that's if you have the standard fiat alloys👍

They’re 1250 a corner so that gives me (in theory) 2500 per axle? Is that right? I can’t remember what sv tech said the rear axle will end up at but it’s only 2280 on rear (2500) and 1920 front (2100)?

I only have a 160Lt tank, far too small.

What are your axle weights?

Only if you need to increase the rear axle loading and if so tyres will need changing for a higher load index. Steel wheels are OK but still need tyre change.

I doubt if SV tech will do the upgrade without the axle upgrade. They refused to do my mates E-Line he got the late John ruffles to do it. As with the large underfloor storage he could shift a lot of weight forward.

I was going to uprate the tyres in any case, on the CoC it says 4500 on 114/116 tyres is that right?? Seems a bit low for me I’d have expected at least 118’s to be the minimum. But anyhow im going 121’s!
Ps I’m only yanking your chain over the water tank, 10 ltrs is nowt between mates😉😁😁

With uprated tyres & wheels & air you can go to 2700kg on the rear.
Your front sounds low can't have the uprated front struts that gives you 2300kg

I’ve got Alko premium X2 air on the rear and VB uprated springs on the front👍 I don’t really want to ditch my alloys tho😞😞

The front should be able to go to 2300kg then.
If they are the standard Fiat alloys they will need changing.

If you look at the two vans it is easy to see why, Carthago's are very solidly built.
The Carthago has a huge double floor that adds weight & an Al-Ko chassis.

Also thanks to Lenny HB I've got to lug a washing machine round now that Val has seen him doing his washing!!

We are 2100kg front and 2500kg rear but only 4500kg total we are on the Fiat F40 heavy chassis max we can go on the rear is 2600kg but not worth the extra cost for 100kg to change the wheels and tyres.

I have a 11kg and a 14kg alugas cylinders in garage, I was gonna flog em, I think I’ll fit them on the van and replace the gas it cylinders, that’ll save me a few kg👍

Scrap that, the 14kg won’t fit:doh: anyone want to swap an 11kg for a 14kg (full)

There’s another company a lot of folk on here have used and a good bit cheaper than SV, I think they’re called something engineering.

Are you aloud to use a patio gas cylinder on a van? Much lighter?

Cheers James

Does your use require two cylinders. We have the c line as yourself. I have one refillable gas low which I get by with no issue keeping an eye and top up as required. That saves 20kg

It’s got two gas it 11kgs in at moment, I have 11kg and 14kg alugas from my first Elddis. The 14kg won’t fit unfortunately but the 11kg will. I think I’d rather have the two bottles in👍
