We love our Hobby Van Exclusive. It’s on a Transit 2010 chassis.
Had some small rust blisters appearing where the motorhome body panel joins the cab.
Try as I may I could not find any garage to undertake the work.
Body shops didn’t want to get involved with the motorhome bodywork.
Caravan/Motorhome places also didn’t want to get involved.
So with being on the at risk register and having to shield until 31st March I thought let’s give it a go.
All paints/primers/fillers/rivets and sika ordered online.
It was a big leap of faith drilling out the rivets and prising the panel open.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained and I’m quite pleased with the result.
Fortunately all the rust was surface and no penetrating corrosion.
