Anyone have any info on the above genny? Do you have one or even a similar Hyundai.
They are being sold at around £679 at the moment, so was considering one, or do I pay the extra for the Honda?
Yes I have solar, yes I know they are noisy and smelly!
But are the Hyundai asny good?

We have the 1kw model that runs on gas and are very happy with it. We got it to save carrying petrol and it’s not to heavy. I did not realise when first starting it how long is needed to purge the gas through to fire it up. We thought it was broken, but then I am no mechanic. Haha. All in al so far all good.

I have one of these, which I am very pleased with. To be honest, I didn't buy it primarily with my Motorhome in mind. I wanted an invertor generator that would provide smooth power to our home when we have power cuts, which seem to happen at the worst times. I was about to get an electrician to fit a changeover switch by my fuse board to allow me to power the whole house, but lockdown intervened! I also use it for power tools at the end of my long garden.

I also have an old boat moored on the Thames, and we often camp beside it in the MH. I'm always tinkering and improving the boat, and need 240v for various tools, but there is no mains supply there. I mainly use it with pressure washer, water pump, polisher and drills/saws etc. I find it easy to transport, but use a covered trailer. It is quite heavy - certainly needs two people to lift it, but easy to move on the ground, with its integral wheels and folding handle. I see you have a PVC - you might find storage an issue. It all looks very neat, and in a nice enclosure.

The Remote start/stop is good, especially turning it off, if you are at a distance from it. There is also Manual (pull cord) and Key start. One thing the manual says is that it will not start (even manually) if the battery is completely flat. Probably not an issue if the genny is used regularly. I have hard-wired a lead to the battery terminals, with an SAE connector for my battery charger, so I can give it a charge occasionally, if I haven't used it for a while. It all stays neat and out of the way behind the removeable battery cover.

Talking of starting - when first using, thay say fill with oil and fuel, and then pull the cord 10 or 20 times to draw fuel into the carb. I started to do that, and on the second gentle pull it started! It seems very quiet too, certainly compared to my previous Chinese generic-framed-genny. In the ECO mode, it just ticks over, and the revs gradually increase as you draw additional power. On the NORMAL mode, it stays at full-speed all the time, but is not significantly louder.

I bought mine from SGS Engineering which last year was the cheapest on the net. It included free delivery and a three-year Warranty. I had a couple of technical queries and they were very prompt in answering them. For one they couldn't answer, they went directly to Hyundai with the question.

Flat battery? Apparently a battery is needed to start whether manually or key

I was thinking could be I've come to it now it's totally flat after a charge. Looks like new battery is needed.

Try phoning Hyundai.

Ask for Kevin, Paul or Shaun in Tech Support.

I've been in conversation with them relating to a battery problem on mine.

Are you within the 3-year Warranty period?

That's correct.

I have a CTEK battery lead attached to mine, for occasional charging. When the battery was completely flat, I had to connect it to another 12v battery to start it manually.

The Hyundai battery is discontinued. A "normal" 7Ah battery won't fit the compartment. I've just bought an equivalent one from another source. I will post details.

The problem I currently have is that there is a constant 27mA drain on the battery, even with the ignition off. Obviously the battery will soon be flat, without charging it. I will post the outcome of that investigation too.
