Hi All
Have recently purchased a 2006 Hymer B680 and have noticed low water pressure, I have cleaned the filter on the kitchen sink tap and that helped but still think its low, I am getting about 2 litres a minute out of tap, and about 3 litres out of bathroom tap.
Swapped the wires over to see if that helped and it made it worse.
The van is under warranty so if i can diagnose the pump i might get a replacement , fingers crossed.

Sounds like all the connections need a good clean, especially the earths.

It should be a pressure pump, when you turn the tap off the pressure builds and turns the pump off, holding pressure in the pipework. there is filter fitted on the Fiamma pump inlet hose, be worth checking that though as a newish van it should not have blocked yet. With my Fiamma 7 I failed to drain it properly it over winter and it froze causing the plate part of the diaphragm to crack and reduce the flow but it also dripped from around the pump housing. I shall be following your progress.

No it shouldn't Hymers use a submersible pump with micro switched taps.

Checked connections and put a voltmeter across terminals showing a good 12.6 volts in operation.
I think i agree with mitzimad that the twin impeller pump has failed on one side and that a replacement is required just got to speak to dealer that sold it me and pursued him that its faulty , he will probably argue there's water coming out of the tap , whats your problem ?

Buy a 19LPM reich twin submersible pump.
Sometimes fitting an inline NRV non return valve { £10 } near the pump helps as it stops the water in the pipe flowing back to the water tank.

I don't think it's a pressure pump, it's a submersible pump with microswitches in the taps.

I'd agree it's probably one of the rotors in the dual pump that's failed.

Even with a brand-new pump, I found the pressure was still not great. I noticed that the supply to the pump routes through the microswitches, and there was a voltage drop of at least 1 volt. To fix that, I mounted a relay near the pump. The pump supply goes directly through the relay contacts. The microswitches just turn on the coil of the relay, so hardly any voltage drop at the pump. Simple to do, and makes a difference.

I don't know why but in the 3 Hymers we have had the flow rate at the kitchen tap is always lower that at the washroom and shower taps. Current van the shortest pipe run is to the kitchen tap.

Have a look at your pump and see if the plastic is distorted, if so one of the pumps motors is burnt out, normally due to running dry.

I recently fitted a pressure pump got fed up with the wiring to the microswitch failing.

just checked no obvious distortion of case.

I am awaiting delivery of a new Reich tandem pump (promised for tomorrow). The current one started to work intermittently on the last trip and yesterday gave up the ghost on my drive. I have really tried following the electrics speak but just fitting the new one will still be a task for me! Like others, the pressure in the bathroom has always exceeded the pressure at the sink. I am hoping the new pump may increase pressure on the basis that perhaps the old pump was just working on one side?? God help me!

The submersible pumps also work well on a pressure system.
