Hymer refuse to sell for export to UK

Went to the Hymer Centre in Bad Waldsee today to have a look at the vans with a view to replacing ours.

Spoke to a salesman who told me that Hymer will no longer sell to UK residents for import to the UK! Even if you want LHD, I was told that you have to order from a UK dealer.

Quite frustrating given we bought our existing van from there.

Has anyone bought a Hymer in Germany over last year or so?

Hymer sales at Bad Waldsee are only a dealer run seperately to the factory.

We have imported 3 Hymers from Belgium he is still quite happy to supply.

I guess Hymer have a vested interest in their UK dealer network so don't want vans coming via the "back door"
