2006 Hymer A Class
The brightness of my Hymer Headlights has never been that good, about three years ago, I mentioned it to the garage i use, they changed the spec of the bulbs and there was definitely an improvement, but still not great, the lights are even worse when touring Europe with beam deflectors fitted, is this normal because these light fittings are small, does everyone have this issue, or is there an alternative light fitting, (legal of course)

Those type of lights can be rotated so don’t need beam deflectors.
I fitted Oscam night breaker bulbs which helped a little but don’t need to drive at night much.

Mine are slightly different being 2001 but I think they are the same, three screws in slotted holes, I have loosened the bottom 2 and only need to under 1 screw to adjust.

The beam shape is a shallow V-shape. For UK the right half is horizontal, the left half slopes up to the left. For driving on the right, the whole fitting is rotated until the left half is horizontal, and the right half slopes up to the right.

Some screws can be slackened without removing, to allow rotation, but one of the screws has to be removed, and replaced after moving to fix the position. If yours is like my Hymer, it's best to employ a mechanic with double or triple jointed arms, and Xray vision.

Edit: mine are similar to Manic's pictures, but not exactly the same.

Depends if they are LHD or RHD headlamps the adjustment allows you to set them for flat dipping.

I fitted LED bulbs to mine a vast improvement.
