The heading has covered my problem. On my fiat based Hymer, when I took the keys out, the lights went out! If I wanted lights I could then switch them on. On the MLT560 they use a buzzer when You open the driver door a loud buzzer sounds. Unfortunately with my MOTORHOME I sometimes leave by the habitation door. Is there a fix for this issue - lights out when key removed?
Regards,

Steve

Have you searched the manual?. Sometimes there are "options" within the "menu" System for different timings?.

I will try again with "RTFM" and let you know if I succeed

My MLI does this too and it seems to be a Mercedes Benz, Stupid ideas dept. idea.
I have been through th menu and tried to find if it is switchable but it seems not to be. I park up with the headlight on and do not know it. I do not have cabs doors. On my MB smart the buzzer sounds if the door is open but only the sidelights do it as the headlights go off with the key. Key in or out the MH has headlights on if the light switch says on.

Are they on a timer and auto switch off after a few minutes ?

Our R Class 350 has this feature but there is a way of switching it off in the cars menu.
I know it can be switched off cos ours wasn't activated when we bought it, but we live in the countryside & usually use our back door so I activated the headlights feature, so perhaps not so silly in some cases, if memory serves me right, you can even adjust the time they stay on for.

I presume the same applies to the OPs Mercedes, we had the 906, so previous model & it didn't have this feature.
There are also many hidden menu's on Mercedes vehicles, the way into them can be found on YouTube.

I have "found" this link Online?. Applies to pre 2018 Models. Broken Link Removed

Surround lighting, can be switched on and off. With it on, side lights, come on on unlocking, and can be programmed to go off after (up to) 40 seconds.

Spoke to my local garage, this a feature not a fault
