How to remove polyplastic window catch

I need to replace the strut on a polyplastic window. 2 self tappers at the top end but how do I remove the section attached to the window please?

Yup! My thoughts exactly which is why I'm on the ask. I rather suspect that the operating part slides or unclips off the fixed part. But I'm not going to go into it blind.

A photo of catch might help? Mine are screwed to the window

If the replacement strut is identical you might get away by not changing the bit attached to the window. For example, the strut might come apart at the pivot so split it there and then attach the new strut to the old bit - assuming it is serviceable of course.

The catch itself isn't screwed to the window but I suspect that its a two part item and the base part is screwed on. I just envisage whats a simple job going terribly wrong.
