Air con if on mains

Fill up your sink with cold water, put your hands in covering wrists for several minutes and then your elbows which I once heard from some on the radio. Works for me.
Ray

Just sit in the shade and chill🌞🐾

I think you all miss the point, I don't think it was a question moreso the dogs found a way to cool down.

Not at all why do you think I put paw prints on my reply😂🌞

I'm sick of not being able to use the oven in the evening, with the extractor fan half knackered it's unbearable, still I'm not moaning really the little stove outside does us or we eat out ☀️😎👍

10 mile walk over Exmoor today. I find it’s better to keep moving. It doesn’t seem as hot and you catch any breezes.

Misty and 21c all day in Cornwall...😀
Got your winter coat on then? Only 33.5 in the shade on the south coast.

You got sunstroke Richard?
It's the fridge you need in the evening for cold beer.

CoolMyCamper a/c - it works well, although it’s bit fiddly. Makes sleeping comfortable. Not cheap but cheaper, lighter than roof mountable units and it uses less amps too

Our fridge struggled on Friday and Saturdays 32 degrees :hot:

Just bought a cheapo coolbox from the Chinese shop, €9.95 takes a bag of ice cubes and several drinks cans ❄️ sorted 🍻

My wife is an Aussie, so is used to hotter climes than us Poms, and she introduced me to a good tip years ago when we were in Malta and it was absolutely stinky-hot one night, no aircon and the portable fan was just moving hot air around, making sleep impossible. Simply, the tip is to "spritz" yourself with a water-spray bottle and the air from the fan causes the water to evaporate and, in so doing, it pulls heat from your body. Basically, it simulates sweating, which is the body's own cooling mechanism. It's dead easy to do - all you need is a portable fan and a couple of spritzer-type bottles and you can lay in bed, squirting yourself from time to time to create the cooling cycle and it lets you nod off ok!

Never leaves my side 😁
Use it at the pool, when out walking, in bed, everywhere. I've yet to master it while riding the scooter but there's time yet 😉 Ann says I'm obsessed with it. 🤣
