How can you identify which Dometic roof-light is fitted?

I wish to repair one of my roof-lights. I know it’s a Dometic Seitz one, and what size, but when looking at poor quality websites for parts, I’m now struggling as I don’t know if it’s a 1/2/3/4, delux or not, is this identified anywhere

Thanks
Andy.

Hi Andy I think 1 is the mini 2 is a roller blind 3 is concertina blind and 4 may be electric ,,, not 100% sure

Will get some pics when I get a moment.
Its handle wind up, concertina blind/fly screen, 700x500, and has two arms to prop it up.

Andy re hole size, have you taken the inner blind off to measure? If not measure the gap between inner rooflight walls and add 20 mm ish to determine size. Once you have hole size then any rooflight what is the right size will do....Magnum motorhomes at Grimsby have a good selection of RLs 👍 Crystal springs to mind nearly half price of Hieki.... Ask what they have to fit just make sure it's clear and not opal 👍

Thanks all above, appreciate your replies.

That document above really helps, and I agree that I “think” I have a midi fitted and will do a few more checks, but currently the motorhome is covered with snow.

Just for your information this is the broken part that I’m trying to source and replace.

Size was gained from And I’d hoped one of the numbers may have led me to what model I had.

Doubt you getting spares to repair😞
As already said anything same size will do,I personally do not like the wind up one's so I would change to a push up one👍 Bonus is they are cheaper and less likely to break

Bugger. I thought spares would be easily sourced.

It actually works ok, and I assume that the broken part is a “shock absorber“ for when it gets caught by a gust of wind?????

Ive got two of these, so at least one would provide spares for the other.

Some of these look the same, hard to tell which bits you need and what is included with each but but might get you a bit closer...

Thanks. That’s where I was looking, but their website (on an iPad) is horrendous. Can’t see the diagrams, can’t go back a page, and freezes all the time. Thought I would phone them, but then thought I’d better know what model I’ve got.

Agree that's why i ended up emailing them when i was looking and to be fair they sent that rather useful guide which allowed me to order the correct replacement roof light, it turned up on time and was a perfect replacement. I've kept the old broken one for the spare parts.....

Yes. I’ve just emailed them as not allowed to phone them.

I was amazed that there's no use of the Dometic part numbers, would make life so much easier....

The numbers are clearly written on each roof light.

Yeah. I think every part I looked at had a part number or more written or stamped on it. I thought it would be a simple cross reference to source what is required.
