How to get a good price on Brittany Ferries Aug 2024

Hi everyone - off to France next year and my dates are fixed in Aug. I need to go Portsmouth St Malo out and Caen Portsmouth back

Am a member of CAMC so eligible for their discount but I believe there is also 10% available if someone shares with me their Club Voyage friends and family number? Also there are comparison sites

Anyone know the best way to save me hours of research?

You can only enter one discount code per booking. Except if you have a voucher for BF and that can be done at the end before payment.

How do you get the CAMC discount I am currently a member but have never used this I have just looked but can’t find how to apply a CAMC discount

The thing to do is ring the CAMC Travel Services and they will get a price for you on either a ferry of the tunnel.

Seems I need a code from a member who joined up prior to Nov 21 otherwise in high season there is no discount

Friends and family discounts are designed to be used by those close to you as an added value benefit of membership. Promoting or advertising this membership benefit via websites, internet forums and elsewhere is strictly prohibited, and considered a breach of your membership.

• For members who joined on or after 16 November 2021: your friends and family will benefit from -10% on low-season sailings between the UK and France and -5% in mid-season. For every booking made, we'll credit your Club Voyage account with £10 towards your own future travel. Discounts are limited to 8 bookings per membership (a maximum credit accruable of £80 per annum, allocated when you renew your membership)
• For members who joined before 16 November 2021: your friends and family will benefit from -10% on sailings between the UK and France and the UK and Spain. For every booking made, we'll credit your Club Voyage account with £10 towards your own future travel. Discounts are limited to 15 bookings per membership (a maximum credit accruable of £150 per annum, allocated when you renew your membership)

Discount applies to vehicle and passenger fare excluding onboard accommodation. Friends and family bookings do not benefit from Club Voyage onboard discounts.

I used a code from a member and got just over £50, the standard 10% is a bit scarce now I think

Oh yes my crossing was £1500 after discount!!

I found CAMC over £100 more expensive than booking a ferry direct. When I challenged them they offered to price match. Needless to say I refused their ‘kind’ offer. They will charge you whatever they think they can get away with. I won’t be renewing my membership when it expires.
