Hi..getting a break from the constant 32°c + every day that we have had for the past 7 weeks or so...sad I know...but we need.a change..
So we will lock up and leave our apartment and head into the Pyrenees, we can guess what to expect on the Spanish side, but how busy is the French bit, are Aires their Normal busy state or is the costly fuel prices reducing travel.?
Of course..the Tour is visiting a small part, but as for the rest, who knows, who's there and what can we expect...
On the Spanish side the media have reported a reduction in the general public taking their July and August vacations...they obviously don't know our plans.
Van nearly done now...few bit and pieces to stow away...a few repairs to finish, then that's us...away we go....might see you there...

I would say it was pretty normal last couple of weeks. If anything noticeably less UK Mhs but then many of the EU resident Brits have had to re register. When we ve previously been in France in the School hols, sites have been busier but aires tend to be quieter as the oldies stay away from the tourist spots

Javea was packed to the rafters Easter this year.

I’ve contracted our villa for most of this summer, we get paid regardless. But the holiday company I’ve contracted with have a lot of august availability.

I do wonder how many are holding off booking because they re worried about flight cancellations, especially with a non-packaged holiday?

So I’m often told from the horses mouth.

I had a couple who booked the last two weeks of September. They paid a small deposit but decided to cancel due to the airport chaos reported in the Media.

They told me to keep the deposit but I ve refunded the guests.

Many other people say the sane to me

We are on the very popular Mortagne sur Gironde atm.

33 degrees here today going up to 40 possible. Only seen 1 English van this week here and the place is half empty. It’s to hot now for the next week travelling with the dog. Feet up and stay another week at least as we have everything we need. Electric wifi water and waste all for £8.50 a night.

The new Truma air conditioning is getting a good testing.

Can’t believe how quiet it is though

Just got back from 5 weeks in France staying only on aires and it was much quieter than usual. Not only were there very few Brits but the Germans, Dutch and Belgians were fewer as well - sometimes it was just us and the rest were French
Bazza

After posting no brits one turned up. An older couple been over 2 weeks driving back from Spain.
His comments matched what people are saying. Very little vans on the road from 🇬🇧 🇩🇪 Or 🇧🇪
