I have a Milenco handle/lock thing next to the hab door of my 2007 Fiat based Burstner Aviano A Class.
It is supposed to act as a grab handle for entering the hab door, but is also supposed to swing across the hab door when not in use to act as additional security.
However, I can't get it to work.
It is currently swung flat against the body and I can't move it from that location. When I unlock it the lock barrel pops up but no matter what I do it won't move.
Help please!!

May be seized due to lack of use.
Try spraying plus gas or WD40 into the top and bottom brackets and let soak for an hour.
The hinges are nothing but a steel pin through the handle but the fork the handle sits in is quite substantial and can rust.

You lift it up to swing it round once you've unlocked it. Sounds like yours needs a bit of TLC.

The millenco one when you unlock it it allows the grab rail to be lifted and swung around to the position you want it to be in. Either swung around and preventing the door to be opened or to allow access . If it does not lift ..WD 40 and once the lock has popped up..lift it up and down to free it up. It does work

Just realised, mine was the Fiamma handle... Slightly different but the same hinge type.
Looking at th op's picture I don't see how that can be lifted.
Is there possibly a release button underneath whereas the Fiamma had a release handle.

The speed with which you guys respond with help is truly impressive.
Thanks to your picture above Papajohn, I have now found the second lock on the top hinge which my original boy look failed to detect :whistle2:
Thank you all for your responses, the handle is now working exactly as it was designed to do :D
