Pilote Aventura G730

since 2014!
Hi, all. We are now the proud owners of a Pilote Aventura G730 A class motorhome, vintage 2008, but in exceptional condition. I will change our picture when I get a suitable photo of the newcomer!

In our old Moho, there was a vertical pull out for the TV, and the set was just screwed on, using the wall mount screw holes in the back of the TV. In our new ‘pride and joy’, there is just a flat plate, hopefully picture attached at the end, and the question is, does anyone here know how you are supposed to fix a TV to that type of bracket/shelf? It seems to have some slots on two sides, but I have no idea how they could be used!!!

Any assistance gratefully received!

Think the flat sliding plate was intended for use with old-fashioned (non flat screen) TV's. You can see the slots in the baseplate, used to strap the TV down. We had a similar support system in our 2002 Hymer.

just get a stand for flatscreen and screw base down to existing plate :)

Looks like a visit to a dealer for a new fixing bracket

I think I would add a hinged tv bracket to the existing plate ( which I presume swivels?) so that the flat screen tv lies flat. That means you could add a shelf or two above it and turn it into useful storage space for DVDs etc.

Thanks, all, for the very helpful replies. We have decided to mount the TV using the central bolt, plus restraints (two steel rulers at the moment!) through one set of strap holes, clamping the TV stand to the rotating tray. We will also relocate the whole mechanism sideways in it’s cupboard, so that the TV slides in to leave a lot of room beside it. That will allow us to follow Vic’s advice, and put in some extra storage beside the relocated pull-out. Sorted!!!
