Benimar mileo 282

6 months
Got a new benimar mileo 282 and can't run hot water and heating at same time apparently there is a winter setting but I can't find it anywhere ...

Same as your home heating system, hot water takes priority over the heating.

Put the heating on first gas & electric if possible, when warmed up put the water on

Motorhome manufacturers don't make their own heaters, they buy them in from a few well-known heater companies. The heater in your Benimar will be common to a number of different motorhome marques, so there'll be lots of people here can advise, if the heater make/model is known or if you post a picture of the controls.

If you give more info such as are you on just gas or have gas and an electric supply.
What is the heater system ? Alde wet heating, Truma blown air etc.
Not familiar with Benimar so unsure what's fitted. Should be no issues really except electric does take longer to warm up than gas. 👍

My old Benimar Mileo 2016 had a truma combi 6e, looks like the newer versions have the same

Make sure you only use Propane (Red bottle) and not Butane Blue bottle)

I dont understand what you mean by you cant run both at the same time. Are you saying your heating goes off if you run the hot water? Ive no problem running both on ours.

If it is a Truma Combi if the water is set to boost the heating will turn off until the water is up to temperature.

As above post 'Boost' gives priority to water then heating.
Don't select boost. Gas is more effective than 240V but you can select both.
I have a 5KW Chinese Diesel Heater fitted in My motorhome as well as a Truma LPG system.
This Cheap Chinese Diesel Heater { Webasto / Eberspacher copy } gives Me a back up economical heating system that runs on readily available ubiquitous diesel fuel { not gas }.

If you are trying to run a Truma Combi 6E on electric only it will not cope in colder weather, it only has 2x900W elements which amounts to 1.8kW. It is really a gas boiler with a 6kW output but the E bit is added for some markets. In combined mode it works at up to 5.8kW.

Thanks for all your replys ....I will try it in gas and electric. But the blow heater won't get very hot if the water is set hot

Gas is faster to heat but if you remember to turn on the heater a little earlier 240v is as effective.
Just slower to get there.
That’s based on our MH fuel type usage comparisons, ymmv

The gas is 3kw but the leccy is only 1kw. Its correct that if you select boost the heating goes off. If you select 'mix' as the fuel it will use the gas until warm then drop back into leccy only.

That's my understanding anyway(y)

From previous threads, my understanding of Truma winter and summer modes is that it refers to having hot water only selected (summer mode) or hot water and heating selected (winter mode). I don’t think there is a special physical button or setting winter/summer.

The Combi 6 is 6kW on gas and 1.8kW max on electricity.

Which boiler is fitted to the Benimar?
